2026 College of Liberal Arts Subsidy for Students Participating in International Affairs
1. Subsidy Period: Students traveling abroad between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026, are eligible to apply.
2. Eligible Applicants: Current undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students of the College of Liberal Arts (Priority is given to master's and doctoral students).
Important Notes:
Students participating in overseas groups under the College's International Talent Cultivation Program cannot apply for this subsidy.
As the funding comes from the Ministry of Education (MOE), students from Mainland China are not eligible to apply. Travel expenses to Mainland China will not be subsidized.
Students who have already applied for subsidies from the Office of Research and Development (ORD) will not receive duplicate funding from the College.
Eligible students are highly encouraged to prioritize applying for the University's “Global Top 1000 Student Study Scholarship Program” (Deadline: March 6, 2026, Click here for details).
3. Application Deadline: Before 5:00 PM on August 31, 2026 (Monday)
Rules: Subsidies are limited to once per year. Applications can be submitted before or after the international event.
Timeline: Submissions close on August 31. Applications will be reviewed at the executive meeting in early September, followed by an email notification of the results.
Reimbursement: Approved applicants must complete the reimbursement process within 7 days of receiving the notification email or returning to Taiwan. Failure to do so within the time limit will be considered a forfeiture of the subsidy. If you encounter any special circumstances, please contact the coordinator immediately.
4. Required Documents:
Application Form: Must be signed or stamped by the Chair/Director of your department/program (See Attachment 1).
Letter of Invitation / Acceptance Notification: (Note: For non-presentations, short-term research, or exchange programs—such as acting as a commentator or general attendee—approval will be determined by the review committee).
Paper Abstract: If attending a non-academic conference, please submit a research plan instead.
Funding Application Records: An explanation of any internal/external funding applications, or a copy of the notification letter of subsidy results.
Other Supporting Documents: E.g., Full text of the paper, related publications, or proof of foreign language proficiency.

※ Online Conferences: Students presenting at online conferences may apply for a “Registration Fee” subsidy. During reimbursement, a screenshot proving the applicant's attendance at the conference must be provided.
