Dear Madam or Sir, dear universities,   On behalf of the Trade Office of Swiss Industries in Taipei, we would like to introduce the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships (ESKAS) to your students. Every year, the Swiss government grants scholarships for research fellows, PhD candidates and post-doc positions at Swiss universities to nourish global scientific collaboration.  The new scholarship cycle for 2026/2027 just opened.   While Taiwanese applicants have had an outstanding acceptance rate in the past, we hope by engaging you to share this opportunity with your students and researches either on social media (LinkedIn or Facebook) or by forwarding this e-mail we can broaden the reach.   We believe that researching at one of Switzerland’s globally renowned universities and institutions presents an exciting opportunity for Taiwanese scholars and the Swiss institutions can also benefit from the insights and knowledge of Taiwanese scholars.   In the attached documents, you will find the PDF ESKAS flyers. Announcement: College of Liberal Arts 2025 Outstanding Student Scholarship Application Now Open (Deadline: April 30, 2025)   To encourage outstanding students in both academics and character, the College of Liberal Arts is pleased to announce scholarship funding generously donated by the Mr. Bai-Nian Chen Academic Foundation and the NCCU Alumni Huang Hui-Mei Encouragement Scholarship.   1. Eligible Applicants Currently enrolled undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students of the College of Liberal Arts.   2. Number of Awards 30 recipients per academic year.   3. Scholarship Amount NT$15,000 per recipient per academic year (standard amount).   4. Application Criteria   Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:   (1)Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral students in the College of Liberal Arts.   (2)Low-income or middle-to-low income household status, from a family facing special difficulties or sudden emergencies, household annual income below NT$900,000.   (3)Academic achievement of at least 80 average score and conduct grade of “A” in the previous academic year. (For first-year students, the previous semester’s grades will be considered.)   5. Application Procedure Submit the completed scholarship application form and all related documents in hardcopy to the College Office by 5:00 PM on April 30, 2025.   6. Required Documents (1)Completed scholarship application form, signed and stamped by the department or program head.   (2)Official transcripts and conduct evaluations from the previous academic year (or previous semester for first-year students), and proof of enrollment (all originals).   (3)Proof of financial status or other relevant documents to support the application, including:   Official government-issued certification of low-income, middle-to-low income, or special hardship household status,   Most recent comprehensive income tax data for the entire household from the National Taxation Bureau,   Household registration transcript or copy of the new household registration booklet.   For overseas students, a credible certificate of financial hardship is required.   7. Application Deadline All application materials must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2025.   8. Submission Location College of Liberal Arts Office (Bai-Nian Building, 2nd Floor, Office 330217).   Qualified students are encouraged to apply

In accordance with the official announcement, students who intend to apply are kindly requested to submit their applications to the College of Liberal Arts by Friday, May 23, 2025, to facilitate the College’s review and recommendation process.   Details: National Chengchi University (hereinafter referred to as “the University”) has established the “Hope Soars” Overseas Study Scholarship to support students from economically and culturally disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing academic study at universities abroad, thereby enhancing their academic and language proficiency and broadening their international perspectives.   Applications will first be preliminarily reviewed by each department or graduate institute. The College will then submit its recommended candidates to the Office of International Cooperation.   Scholarship recipients must return to Taiwan by July 31, 2026, and submit the required documents by September 1, 2026 to complete the reimbursement process.   For further details, please refer to the attachment.

To encourage outstanding students with strong potential in academic research to pursue doctoral studies at the College of Liberal Arts (hereinafter referred to as "the College"), and to support Ph.D. students in focusing on their academic work with peace of mind, National Chengchi University (hereinafter referred to as "the University") hereby establishes these regulations in line with the Ministry of Education’s Ph.D. Student Scholarship Program, aiming to cultivate future talents in the humanities and academic research.   Please refer to the attachment for full details.
