Open for Registration: Kyoto Prefectural University "Summer Seminar on International Kyoto Studies (KKSS2026)"

Kyoto Prefectural University (KPU) will host the "Summer Seminar on International Kyoto Studies 2026 (KKSS2026)" in the summer of 2026. This program is exclusively for students from partner colleges. As our college has been invited to participate, we encourage students of the College of Liberal Arts to apply.
1. Program Duration August 3, 2026 (Monday) – August 8, 2026 (Saturday)
2. Eligibility
Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts, National Chengchi University.
This activity is limited to students of partner colleges.
3. Quota
20 students per course (maximum 25 students).
Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. Program Content The seminar combines Japanese language learning with specialized courses on Kyoto culture and Kyoto studies. Content includes:
Graded Japanese language courses
Lectures on Kyoto studies (taught in English)
Small-group tutoring/guidance
Kyoto traditional culture experience activities
Grouped by Japanese proficiency:
Type 1: Beginners
Type 2: Intermediate/Advanced learners
5. Class Schedule (Daily)
1st Period: 08:50 – 10:20
2nd Period: 10:30 – 12:00
3rd Period: 12:50 – 14:20
4th Period: 14:30 – 16:00
6. Fees
Seminar Fee: 30,000 JPY (includes activity fees)
Accommodation Fee: Approx. 80,000 JPY (during the seminar period; paid separately)
Accommodation fees must be paid via online transfer to the designated travel agency account.
Self-paid Expenses: Students are responsible for airfare, meals, and other personal expenses.
Actual costs may be adjusted based on the exchange rate at the time of payment.
